I was beyond excited when I got the e-mail from Jackie asking me if I could document her wedding to Michelle. Everything that Jackie and Michelle were planning for their celebration sounded perfect. They were married in a small, outdoor ceremony at the Chart House in Lakeville, MN. The weather was lovely and they were surrounded by people who love them and support them. Their wedding was a great example of a fantastically personal wedding. Jackie spent so much time creating all of the awesome details with the decorations. She made EVERYTHING! Right down to the bridesmaid dresses! Jackie got the flowers from the farmers market in Apple Valley and assembled all 5 bouquets herself. She even made every single pom-pom. All 50 of them! This was the picture perfect DIY wedding. (Etsy has nothing on Jackie!)

The special details complemented the wedding ceremony. Everything was so perfect. So personal. So real. The love these two share is written all over their faces. I was smiling every second of editing their images.

I am so honored to have been able to capture the legal marriage of Michelle and Jackie just one month after Minnesota legalized same sex marriages. I couldn’t be more proud of my state and to be able to capture same LOVE.

James J. Hill Library Wedding St Paul, MN

Yesterday I had the honor to photograph one of the most fun weddings I have ever been to! Jenna and Patrick were married at Rice Park in St. Paul, Minnesota. They must have brought good weather with them from New York because the heat wave ended just in time for their outdoor wedding. They started the day by getting ready at the St. Paul Hotel and made their way to the ceremony location in the center of Rice Park in front of the Landmark Center. Jenna’s brother-in-law, Rep. John Lesch, married them while the ceremony music was provided by Ali and Patrik. Their song selection couldn’t have been more perfect.

After the ceremony we headed over to the James. J. Hill Reference Library for mingling during the cocktail hour. Once inside the gorgeous library, guests were treated to dinner by Common Roots Catering and cake pops and desserts by Buttercream in St. Paul. After the speeches and everyone was ready to dance, Mish Mash rocked the reception! Having a live band at the wedding kept everyone on the dance floor until the last note of the evening was played! Sarah from Lasting Impressions was invaluable! She made the whole day run smoothly and was so helpful to the wedding vendors.

Today I’m off to the last day of the Minnesota State Fair with Jenna and Patrick! I can’t wait to blog the awesome images I’m sure we will capture! Stay Posted and leave a note below to congratulate Jenna and Patrick! Seriously. The MOST fun couple. Ever.

This guy. He’s mine. And he is going to be 5 in 25 days. I might faint. Since I can remember, Elliott’s favorite store has been Barnes and Noble. He started reading sentences and short books when he was two… chapter books the month he turned 4. He doesn’t want to go to the science museum. Instead his favorite field trip involves the book store and Starbucks hot chocolate. Reading ALWAYS trumps bedtime. His book collection rivals his dad’s 700+ wall of books. And yes, his book shelf did crash down. Eden Prairie Family Photographer

I’m so proud of this little guy. He is more than I could have ever imagined. Fun to hang out with. Caring and sensitive towards others. Smart. Handsome. Funny. A leo to a T. And I get to be his mom.

I thank Jesus everyday.

The countdown is on, Gubben. 5! I can’t believe it!

OMG, the baby…he’s gorgeous, and so grown already (dangit, they do that growing thing so quickly)! I hope he doesn’t trip over those eyelashes… Your photos are amazing!

Michelle Robb TannerJuly 8, 2013 - 12:01 pm

Oh Jeri, I know! The time goes too fast. His lashes are to die for! Thanks for the note! I hope you are well!!! 50 is in a couple years – I foresee a new strap in the works for PT.
