Minneapolis Family Photographer Update

Best Minneapolis Family Photographer

Chillin’ in the pool in Grand Cayman

Well, hello there!

I cannot believe we are already well into March. The sun is shining, the snow is melting and dare I say, Minnesota… we made it. We made it though one of the worst winters. EVER. Pat yourself on the back, we are a hardy bunch!

But I must admit something. I “made” it for the only reason that I was spoiled by a two week vacation. We soaked up all the vitamin D we could, played in the ocean and swam all day long for two weeks straight. It was the best therapy money could buy.

After taking most of the beginning of 2014 off to connect with family and regroup, I am back at it! I’m in the process of housekeeping with my business and implementing some changes along the way. In 2014 you will see some changes and I can’t wait to share them. There will be a new logo and new branding, updated websites and galleries, more personal blog posts and interaction with my “fans” on Facebook and Instagram and there will be some changes with family sessions such as timing of session and when they will be scheduled to insure the best light quality and locations. I am growing as a person and a photographer and I’m pushing myself to make sure I provide the best images for you and your family to cherish for years to come.

And I need your help! I am purely referral based! That’s right, I no longer advertise. If you love my work or have had a fabulous session with me, please tell your friends, family, co-workers and barista… 😉 And if you have any questions or concerns over your session, let me know! I want to take the time to plan your session so that it personally fits you and your family.

Can I ask a favor? Would you “Like” me on Facebook if you haven’t already? I plan to be much more active. There will be a little personal life, work posts, and anything witty I can come up with day to day. It’s easy, just hop on over to my Facebook page and give me a thumbs up! To make it more exciting, if you book your session with me and you “like” me on Facebook, I will gift you one 8×10 printed image from your first session.  (One per family – That’s a $25 value just for liking my Facebook page! A win-win!) I am *so* close to 1400 fans! How fast can we get there?

And if you follow me, I would love to follow you back. So if you would love to see a little behind the scenes of my personal life, follow me…

***Oh, I almost forgot! Make sure to email me to book your spring sessions ASAP! April is almost completely booked up! I think everyone has spring fever!

Well, that’s all I have today. Thank you for stopping by! You mean the world to me. REALLY!

The Koski Family

I met Paul in high school. Like Facebook does, I was able to catch up with him a bit since graduation almost 20 years ago. I was able to follow along with the good times when he and his wife, Tracy, were expecting their little boy. And the not so good times when Paul was diagnosed with a brain tumor in July, 2012. Highs and lows came in the form of Caring Bridge updates throughout Paul’s treatments — obviously a roller coaster of emotions for Paul and his beautiful family. This month brought an update that was hard to wrap my head around. Paul has been moved to hospice. I was able to have the opportunity to capture Paul, Tracy and Emmett at their home. All together. They read books and looked at pictures of Emmett when he was a baby. Snacked on Cool Ranch Doritos as they hung out in the porch that Paul and Tracy built. Rock songs were belted out. Hugs were had. Tears fell. Smiles appeared.

I got the news today that Paul passed away last night. I am forever grateful for and will always remember the time I was able to spend with the Koski’s on that snowy Monday.
