Well.. I’m about to age myself here a bit but here goes!
About 13 years ago when I met my husband, he had some great friends, Rob and Martha. They would often watch over Patrik’s cat while he was on tour. They even celebrated one of Patrik’s birthdays in our new house 12 years ago. (There might be another story that has something to do with me accidentally buying trick birthday candles. It’s always funny when the person BUYING the candles realizes too late they are the ones that don’t blow out.) Over the past 13 years we have stayed in touch with Rob and Martha though their adventures of their move from Minneapolis to Chicago. They owned one of the most awesome baby boutiques in all of America across from the Children’s Hospital in Chicago. They have always been great with kids. Martha spent years working as a nanny and Rob had an amazing collection of toys that were proudly displayed on all the shelves in their Minneapolis apartment. Well, four years ago they added a daughter to their family; Little Miss M.
Miss M. is truly special. She is smart beyond her years, she is such a doll and she was so eager to work with me to have her pictures snapped. A few months back I had a cutest kids contest on my Facebook page. Let me tell you, it was so fun to watch the votes come in for all the kids and to see how passionate Rob and Martha’s friends were to make sure that Miss M. would win the session. Vote after vote came in. It was neck and neck with another awesome child and in the end Miss M. received the most votes. A couple of weeks ago Martha and Little Miss M. came up all the way from Chicago to have her photo session done. We spent some time in the morning at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis. We are so fortunate to have so many great resources in Minneapolis that are beautiful backdrops. I had a blast! I captured some really adorable shots. Take a look at this doll! Isn’t she perfect?
I also put together a little slideshow that you can view HERE!
