It’s finally Friday night. My boy is sleeping with his new truck, my husband is dodging the rain and playing a show and I’m finally able to sit down, take a break and indulge in one of my favorite treats. Hot croissants and a big jar of Nutella. Yes, the same croissants and Nutella that I’m supposed to bring to a big breakfast gathering tomorrow. Guess who will be making an emergency stop at the store in the morning!
There has been a lot of music happening in the Tanner household this week. June is always a busy month for summer touring. I’m actually pretty bummed because every year, Tina Schlieske comes out from sunny California to play Uptown Pride in Minneapolis. This is one of my favorite shows of the whole year. But as I was waiting for the babysitter, huge storms hit all around us. So I stayed home and snuggled in with the kiddo while my husband ventured off to play the show with Tina. This week Tina came down to our house to rehearse with the band for tonight’s show. She came over a couple hours early and we did a mini photo session. OMG. I’m so glad we did. The light was beyond perfect and I found a super cool location close to home. I can’t wait to use this location again! Tina was great, of course! I can’t wait until she’s back in town again for another session. Tina, I promise to provide the tequila! (he-he!)
If you haven’t heard Tina before, please do me a favor and head over to her website! You need to know who Tina is. You need her music. You need “Slow Burn“. It’s one of my top 5 albums of all time.
