Weisman Art Museum Wedding Photographer
I had the honor of shooting the wedding ceremony for Winston and Sylia at the Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota campus. I fell in love this this amazing venue the moment I walked in! Sylia and Winston are a fabulous couple that were surrounded with love on their wedding day. I LOVED the way the bright flowers looked against the white walls of the William G. Shepherd room. And having the ceremony right in the middle of the museum was beyond cool. The Seville’s got the dance going and the night was perfect! Michelle Tanner | Weisman Art Museum Wedding Photographer.
The Weisman Art Museum offers a unique environment for celebrations, meetings, or other gatherings. Overlooking the Mississippi River, the museum has one of the best views of the city skyline along with a variety of art offerings. Weisman Art Museum Wedding Photographer, Michelle Tanner of Michelle Tanner Photography, is a fabulous match for this venue!
This carpeted room holds 120 for lecture-style seating as a flat-floor auditorium. It may also be arranged with tables as a meeting space or opened up to become part of the adjacent Riverview Gallery for large dinners and receptions. The capacity of the combined spaces is up to 200 for a seated dinner and up to 500 for a reception.
The museum presents and interprets works of art, offering exhibitions that place art within relevant cultural, social and historical contexts. Several major exhibitions are offered each year, as well as organized letters, symposia, tours and special events focused upon educational themes. In its 70-year history, the museum has worked with more than fifty departments, presenting the ideas of a great university in multi-disciplinary and widely collaborative projects. The museum’s active touring program serves the cultural/educational needs of rural communities primarily in the Upper Midwest, as well as national and international audiences.
